Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a teen at FM 2169 in Kimble County, TX on December 26th, 2023. Police say the incident occurred around 3:06 p.m. Investigators say a GMC Sierra was headed northbound on FM 2169, approaching a curve in the roadway. Authorities believe the vehicle lost control while navigating the curve, going into a skid as a result and striking a nearby rock wall. From there, police say the vehicle continued traveling ahead before colliding with a tree. Reports indicate a 15-year-old passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured while the driver was allegedly uninjured. Reports further allege the driver, a 31-year-old man who was not publicly identified, left the scene prior to police arrival. Sources allege the driver was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
