Polices ay the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic is said to have suffered a tire blowout that forced the vehicle to reduce speed. Reports say the vehicle did not exit the roadway and continued traveling at reduces speeds before it was struck by a Nissan Rogue as it navigated a curve in the roadway. The 17-year-old driver of the Honda was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports say, while a passenger in the Nissan was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries.
