Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a teen at State Hwy 30 in Grimes County, TX on March 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:07 p.m. According to investigators, a Saturn Vue operated by a 61-year-old male was headed westbound on Hwy 30 prior to allegedly veering into eastbound lanes. It then collided head-on with an eastbound Chevrolet truck, operated by a 17-year-old girl. The teen had injuries believed to be serious in nature, according to police. The Saturn driver was also seriously injured and recommended a Driving While Intoxicated charge against the driver.
