What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a teen at US 183 and State Hwy 130 in Lockhart, TX on May 1st, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 5:53 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 45-year-old Temple, TX man was headed southbound on North Colorado Street when it attempted to make a lane change into a right hand lane occupied by a Chevrolet Equinox. The impact caused the Equinox to spin into a concrete barrier, causing minor injuries to a 17-year-old passengers. The drivers were not injured and the Temple man was charged with Changing Lanes When Unsafe.
