What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a teen at FM 562 in Chambers County, TX on August 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 25-year-old Victoria Edwards was traveling south on FM 562 when the truck veered from the road and into a 14-year-old pedestrian. The truck was seen by a witnesses briefly coming to a stop before leaving the scene. The teen suffered serious injuries. Edwards was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
