What Happened

Nacogdoches Police are investigating a crash that injured a teen at East Main St and Quail Ridge Rd in Nacogdoches, TX on October 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:10 p.m. Police say a Dodge 1500 was eastbound on Main Street before slowing to turn onto Quail Ridge Rd. While slowing, officials say the vehicle was rear-ended by a Ford F-250 towing a second vehicle. The impact caused both trucks to veer from the road, leaving a 13-year-old passenger in the Dodge seriously injured. Reports say the teen was taken to an area hospital for treatment and died from his injuries. A second child passenger was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature.
