What Happened

Grand Prairie Police are investigating a crash that killed a teen at I-20 near Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie, TX on August 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. A Mercury was headed west at a high rate of speed when it lost control and crashed into a guardrail. Five people were hospitalized with injuries. A 17-year-old later died from his injuries. Additional information was not available.
