Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle allegedly operated by 46-year-old Jose Torres Garcia is accused of striking a pedestrian walking southbound on Humble Camp Rd. Police allege following the collision, the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the 17-year-old pedestrian at the scene. Officials say she was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from.
