Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a teen at US 57 in Frio County, TX on January 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:43 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Trax was westbound on US 57 veered from the road into a shoulder, possible due to driver distraction. The vehicle is said to have gone into a skid before entered into an eastbound lane of travel. There, the vehicle was struck by an approaching tractor-trailer. Reports say a 15-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet was fatally injured while both the 67-year-old driver and a 63-year-old passenger were seriously injured.
