What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injurer three teens at Loop 289 and 50th St in Lubbock, TX on April 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:11 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 lost control at a southbound exit ramp, allegedly due to traveling at an unsafe speed. Police say the vehicle veered across an access road where it struck a toad sign and overturned into a nearby gas main. Reports indicate a 15-year-old passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured, as was the 17-year-old driver. An additional passenger, age 16, had non-life-threatening injuries. Sources indicate the driver was allegedly charged with Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not available.
