What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two drivers at I-37 in Atascosa County, TX on July 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:36 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 31-year-old Nokomis, FL man reportedly collided with a Nissan Versa was partially parked in a right travel lane. After the collision the truck veered from the road and overturned, causing minor injuries to the driver. The Versa driver, 70-year-old Teofila Ramirez, was more seriously injured. Police say the Versa did not have active lights on at the time of the collision.
