What Happened

Police have information on a collision that injured a woman at Cary Grant Dr in San Antonio, TX on April 13th, 2023. Police say it happened around 8:14 p.m. as 71-year-old Teresa Vasquez attempted to prevent a family member from driving a Toyota Rav4. It has ben alleged the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol at the time and attempted to to reverse the vehicle as its front driver side door remained open. Vasquez was hit by the door and knocked into the ground, suffering injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. The driver, a 20-year-old San Antonio woman, was not injured and officers recommended a DWI charge.
