Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Hwy 173 in Medina County, TX on September 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 43-year-old Chance Trip was northbound at the time as a Ford Escape operated by 70-year-old Terry Flynn was headed southbound. Officials say for unclear reasons, the Silverado crossed into the path of the Ford, the two vehicles colliding. The impact is said to have caused both vehicles to overturn. The crash left Trip seriously injured at the scene and officials say he died from his injuries shortly after arrival at an area hospital. Both Flynn and his passenger, 75-year-old Joy Pittman, were seriously injured, according to reports. Additional information was not available.
