What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at Loop 1604 in San Antonio, TX on August 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:25 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 49-year-old Adkins man is accused of following too closely. As vehicles ahead slowed, the truck failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Nissan Rogue operated by 52-year-old Thomas Cantrell. The Nissan was pushed into the rear of the Toyota ahead of it, operated by 35-year-old Charles Wheeler. Both the truck driver and Wheeler were uninjured. Cantrell suffered minor injuries.
