Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1209 in Bastrop County, TX on July 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:22 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram operated by 55-year-old Thomas Conrad Vasquez was headed eastbound on Union Chapel when it was struck on the left side by commercial truck operated by 55-year-old Elgin man. Police allege the Dodge failed to yield right of way to traffic in the collision, which left Vasquez with serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
