Authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at US 281 in Atascosa County, TX on December 22nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:49 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Focus was northbound on US 281, entering onto Old Pleasanton. Headed southbound on US 281 was a Dodge Durango operated by 57-year-old Thomas Goracy. Reports indicate the Ford allegedly failed to yield during a left turn, tracing into the path of the Dodge. The two vehicles collided and reports say the impact caused the Dodge to overturn, trapping Goracy in the vehicle. Reports say Goracy was seriously injured while a 22-year-old passenger in the Ford had non-life-threatening injuries. Two others, including the driver of the Ford, had possible injuries, according to police. Additional information was not available.
