Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at State Hwy 11 in Camp County, TX on January 2nd, 2024. Police are saying the incident happened around 4:11 p.m. According to instigators, a Chrysler Town & Country operated by 83-year-old Thomas Hill was westbound on Hwy 11, stopped for oncoming traffic. Reports indicate the vehicle was waiting to perform a turn into a private residence when it was struck in the rear by an approaching tractor-trailer. The impact is said to have caused the Chrysler to veer across the road into a ditch, striking a large tree. The crash left Hill seriously injured, according to reports. Reports also indicate the other driver, a 42-year-old man who was not publicly identified, was uninjured.
