Area authorities have information on a two-vehicle collision that inured three children at US 79 in Williamson County, TX on September 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by a 40-year-old Hutto man was headed east bound while a Jeep Compass operated by 34-year-old Cinthia Barragan was headed westbound. Police allege the PT Cruiser ran a red light at the intersection with Tradesman Park Dr while attempting a left turn, traveling into the path of the Jeep. The two vehicles collided as a result, leaving a 13-year-old and 9-year-old in the Jeep with suspected serious injuries. A 16-year-old also in the Jeep had less serious injuries, according to police. The drivers were uninjured and police allege suspicion the driver of the Chrysler may have been drinking prior to the crash. Additional information was not available.
