What Happened

Texas Department of Public of Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed three children at Hwy 69 in Grayson County, TX on August 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra is said to have been headed southbound before entering into a shoulder to avoid colliding with vehicles ahead slowing. Reports say the Hyundai entered into a northbound lane, colliding with an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado. Police say three children in the Hyundai, ages 14, 13 and 10 were all fatally injured. Reports say the drivers of the Silverado and a Ford involved were uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
