What Happened

Authorities in Houston, TX, are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on December 22, 2024, at approximately 3:09 a.m. on the exit ramp from South Sam Houston Parkway West to West Airport Boulevard. A 2007 Nissan Altima was traveling east at an unsafe speed when it changed lanes unsafely, left the roadway, and struck a concrete barrier. The Altima was then rear-ended by a 2019 Dodge Charger. The 20-year-old unlicensed driver of the Altima sustained a minor injury. Two passengers in the Altima, ages 32 and 17, sustained suspected serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the Dodge were uninjured. Contributing factors included speeding, unsafe lane change, and following too closely. The investigation is complete.
