What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at Ridge Rd and Old Ridge Rd in Pharr, TX on August 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:18 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 42-year-old Darek Earhart was headed westbound on Ridge Rd when authorities allege it made an unsafe lane change and collided with a Nissan Sentra. The Ford continued straight before striking a tree while a Honda Civic accused of following too closely collided with the Nissan. Three people involved, including Earhart, suffered serious injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
