What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured three people at US 183 in Brown County, TX on August 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. A pickup truck operated by 44-year-old John McBeth II was headed southbound on 183 when it collided with the rear of another pickup truck. Two passengers in McBeth's truck as well as the driver of the second truck were hospitalized with various injuries. McBeth was was arrested on a charge of Intoxication Assault.
