Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at 9th Ave and 21st St in Texas City, TX on May 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:21 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Fiesta operated by a 25-year-old Texas City man was traveling northbound on 21st St when it reportedly ran a red light at the intersection with 9th Ave. This led to the vehicle colliding with the side of a Ford F-150 operated by 36-year-old Tiara Schrombeck. Schrombeck suffered serious injuries in the collision while the Texas City man suffered less serious injuries. Reports indicate the Texas City man was charged with DWI.
