What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US Hwy 287 in Midlothian, TX on August 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:56 a.m. A Hyundai Elantra operated by 32-year-old Tiffany Grieb was headed westbound on 287 at a high rate of speed when it jerked left and veered into a grass median. The vehicle overturned, ejecting a 12-year-old boy, before coming to rest on the eastbound side of the highway. Both the child and Grieb were seriously injured. A second child, age 8, was evaluated for possible injuries. Grieb was charged with DWI with Child.
