What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-10 in West Baton Rouge Parish, LA on September 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a tractor-trailer failed to stop and collided with vehicles that were stopped for traffic. This created a nine vehicle pileup that caused vehicles to catch fire. 29-year-old Timothy Achee suffered fatal injuries. His father and brother, who he was traveling with, were hospitalized with injuries. The driver of the trick, Jack Duff III, was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide and Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
