What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at  US 59 in Diboll, TX on February 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 4500 operated by 51-year-old Cruz Arnoldo Torres was headed southbound on US 59 as a Toyota Rav4 operated by 51-year-old Tina Ann Williams was headed eastbound on Judd near the intersection with North Temple Td. Police say the Dodge began to slow for a red light but would not be able to come to a complete stop in time to avoid a collision, veering left and colliding with the Toyota. Williams suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. Records indicate Torres was issued a charge of Failure to Control Speed.
