Area authorities have details on a crash that injured three people at FM 2517 in Panola County, TX on September 22nd, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 6:08 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 44-year-old Tommy Futch was headed westbound on FM 2517 when it reportedly disregarded a posted stop sign at the intersection with FM 31. It then collided with the side of a commercial truck headed southbound on FM 31 and the impact caused the truck to rated and overturn, striking a stopped northbound Dodge Durango operated by a 28-year-old Bella Vista, AR man. Two people in the commercial truck suffered minor injuries while Futch was more seriously injured. Futch was issued a charge of Disregarding a Stop Sign.
