What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at North Wilcrest Dr in Houston, TX on February 5th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. Investigators believe a Ford Mustang was traveling at a high rate of speed when it attempted to cross the intersection with Memorial Drive and struck a raised section of road. The vehicle then lost control and crashed into a tree before coming to rest against the side of a home. The driver,  25-year-old Torrey Glenn Johnson, was trapped in the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
