What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 105 in Vidor, TX on June 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 55-year-old Tracy Tipton was headed northbound as a dump truck slowed to turn into a private driveway. Police say the truck was suffering mechanical issues at the time and the Dodge is alleged to have been attempting to pass the dump truck before the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the Dodge to travel into a ditch before overturning onto its roof, leaving Tipton with suspected serious injuries.
