What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at FM 1488 in Harris County, TX on October 27th, 2024. Officials say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Sportage headed eastbound is alleged to have veered out of its lane into an eastbound lane, colliding head-on with an approaching motorcycle. A second motorcycle was struck by debris from the crash, which led to an additional collision with a third motorcycle. Reports say 39-year-old motorcyclist, Travis Bailey, was fatally injured. Additionally, the 62-year-old operator of the third motorcycle, who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
