What Happened

Amarillo Police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at 34th and Western St in Amarillo, TX on January 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle headed southbound on Western St was the vehicle involved. They believe the vehicle veered from its lane and crashed into concrete center median. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Travis Duvall Mitchell, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Authorities did not have additional information was not immediately available.
