What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at US 281 in Burnet County, TX on August 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:19 p.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 31-year-old Trevor Sherry was headed southbound on US 281 while at a unsafe speed when it veered from the road. The truck attempted several corrective maneuvers that ultimately led to it overturning multiple times and hitting a tree. Sherry suffered serious injuries in the collision. Responding officers say an open alcohol container was found at the scene and suspect it played a factor in the crash.
