What Happened

Edinburg Police identified the person killed in a collision at Cano St and 10th Ave in Edinburg, TX on July 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:36 a.m. as 55-year-old Troy Walker Hack was closing the road. As he did so, police say he was struck by a tractor-trailer headed southbound. Following the collision, the truck and driver remained at the scene and police allege alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Hack was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from shortly after arrival. Additional information was not available.
