What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at I-20 in Eastland County, TX on October 28th, 2022. Police say it happened as 46-year-old Tunde Mustaph Obawunmi and 38-year-old Olatunji Alex Atere were walking on the westbound side of the south access road. At some point, a vehicle operated by 75-year-old Larry Bryant, which was headed westbound, struck both individuals. Obawunmi died at the scene while Atere was hospitalized with serious injuries. Bryant was not injured and police offered no additional details on the collision.
