What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the people injured in a collision at Hwy 63 in Japser, TX on October 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. A Dodge Ram pickup truck headed northbound on County Rd 273 turned into the path of a tractor-trailer headed eastbound. The tractor-trailer overturned in the process, injuring the driver, 54-year-old Turner Hartsfield. Both he and the driver of the Dodge, 82-year-old Johnnie Wagstaff, were hospitalized with injuries.
