What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured at least two children at Lee Trevino Dr and Edgemere Blvd in El Paso, TX on April 3rd, 2022. They say the incident happened around 1:11 p.m. According to their investigation, a Nissan Rogue operated by 18-year-old Alondra Pacheco was headed northbound on Lee Trevino when it is believed to have run a red light and collided with a Chevrolet Astro operated by a 34-year-old El Paso man. Two passengers were ejected from the Astro in the collision as the Rogue continued forward and struck a Hyundai Accent operated by a 45-year-old male. Two children in the Astro, ages 6 and 13, were hospitalized with serious injuries .A third child passenger, age 13, suffered minor injuries as did a 50-year-old male passenger. The El Paso man was evaluated for possible injuries and records indicate a DWI with Child Passenger Charge was issued. Pacheco was also evaluated for possible injuries.
