What Happened

Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured two people at I-35E and Ann Arbor Ave in Dallas, TX on March 15th, 2024. Police are saying it happened around 1:43 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra is alleged to have veered out of its lane of travel into a shoulder, colliding with the rear of a Ford F-150 parked there. The impact is said to have pushed the Ford westbound into a median where it struck a pedestrian who was standing near the Ford at the time. Following the initial crash, reports allege the Hyundai veered across multiple lanes of travel into a guardrail before making contact with a barrier wall. Debris from the crash is said to have struck a passing Chevrolet Silverado. Reports say the driver of the Ford, a 21-year-old Grapevine man who was not publicly identified, as well as the 22-year-old pedestrian, were both seriously injured. The other two drivers were not injured, police say. Additional information was not available.
