Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed two people at US Hwy 96 and County Rd 791 in Buna, TX on April 18th, 2025. Officials are saying the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra headed northbound is alleged to have crossed a center median into a southbound lane before colliding head-on with a Kia Sportage. Authorities indicate the driver of the Hyundai and a child passenger in the Kia were both fatally injured. The driver of the Kia was hospitalized with serious injuries.
