Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2274 in Cherokee County, TX on January 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:52 p.m. A Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by a 49-year-old Henderson man was headed northbound on FM 2274 at an alleged unsafe speed before veering from the road into a pair of trees and overturning into a ditch. The driver and his 58-year-old passenger both suffered serious injuries. Investigators allege the driver was intoxicated while driving. Charges for Driving While Intoxicated, Unsafe Speed and Rider Not Secured by Safety Belt were issued.
