Officials in Niederwald, TX, are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on March 7, 2025, at sometime around 1:04 a.m. on State Highway 21. Authorities are saying a Ford F-150 failed to control its speed and rear-ended a 2006 Ford Econoline van, causing both vehicles to overturn. The 24-year-old driver of the  F-150 sustained suspected serious injuries and was cited for driving with an invalid license and failing to control speed. The Econoline driver fled the scene but was later identified as a 35-year-old man. Alcohol use was noted for both vehicles. Additional information was not available.
