What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured two men at US 83 and Bicentennial Blvd in McAllen, TX on July 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:09 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 43-year-0ld Edinburg man reportedly began crossing an intersection as the light went from yellow to red. At the same time, a Chevrolet Cruze began taking the intersection when it had a green light. The Cruze struck the side of the tractor-trailer, causing serious injuries to its two occupants. The truck driver, a 43-year-old Edinburg man, was not injured in the collision.
