What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed two men at I-45 in Houston, TX on January 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. Reports are saying a vehicle that had allegedly been reported stolen was spotted by authorities, traveling in and out of lanes of travel. Reports continue to allege a traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle prior to a chase beginning between police and the alleged stilled vehicle. While attempting to turn from an I-610 exit lanes onto I-45, reports say the vehicle lost control, struck roadway railing and overturned. Sources say the driver and a front seat passenger were both killed. Two rear-seat passengers were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
