Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man and woman at FM 2090 in Liberty County, TX on April 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck operated by 29-year-old Christian Cruz Melgar is alleged to have crossed a center line before colliding head-on with another vehicle. Police further allege Cruz Melgar fled the scene on-foot following the collision. Two people in the vehicle that was struck were taken to an area hospital in stable condition. Cruz Melgar was later located and officers recommended arrest on a charge of failure to stop and render aid. Additional information is not available.
