What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-10 in Crockett County, TX on May 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:20 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 65-year-old driver was headed eastbound on I-10 when it failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a second truck that was moving at a slower rate of speed. The impact pushed the second truck into a shoulder, causing it to overturn. Two occupants, including the 26-year-old driver and a 34-year-old passenger, both suffered minor injuries. The other driver was not injured and charged with Failure to Control Speed.
