Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Live Oak in Jasper County, TX on August 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:55 p.m. A Ford Expedition operated by a26-year-old Boyce, LA man was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered from the road into a ditch. It hit a tree and spun into a utility pole, causing minor injuries to a 24-year-old passenger. The driver was more seriously injured. Investigators suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
