What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at  US 287 in Wichita County, TX on August 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:19 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 74-year-old Michael Miller was headed southbound on 287 when it changed lanes to give space to a parked vehicle in the shoulder. In doing so, it crossed into the path of a passenger vehicle, which was forced into the shoulder and overturned in the process. The driver and passenger in the car each suffered minor injuries. Miller was not injured and was cited for Failure to Drive in Single Lane.
