Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured two people at US 82 in Lamar County, TX on May 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet HHR operated by a 42-year-old Paris, TX man was headed eastbound on US 82 when it lost control after suffering a right rear tire blow out. It then went into a skid and veered from the road, overturned and ejected both the driver and a 56-year-old male passenger. Officers allege the woman admitted to consuming alcohol prior to she and her passenger being hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
