What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at South Gessner Rd in Houston, TX on December 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. A pickup is said to have been traveling at a high rate of speed just before it collided with a Toyota Camry that had just pull away from a stop sign. The driver of the Camry and young child were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say witnesses saw the driver of the pickup truck exit the vehicle and leave the scene on foot. They believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
