What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two teens at Centerville Rd and Broadway Blvd in Garland, TX on April 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. According to police, a Toyota Camry operated by a 16-year-old male was headed eastbound on Centerville when it began to vault while approaching an intersection. It then struck a curb before sliding into a fire hydrant and tree. A nearby Dodge Charger was struck by debris from the crash. The 16-year-old and a 14-year-old female passenger were both seriously injured. Police recommended and/or issued a Driving Under Influence of Alcohol by Minor against the 16-year-old driver.
