What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two women at I-35E and Danieldale Rd in Lancaster, TX on August 10th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:37 p.m. A Nissan Sentra operated by a 56-year-old woman was traveling north on I-35E and approached a stop sign to continue straight. A commercial truck operated by a 36-year-old Wylie man was headed east on Danieldale Road and continued straight. The truck collided with the Nissan, causing serious injuries to both the driver and her 54-year-old female passenger. The Wylie man was not injured. Police say the driver stated he was distracted by his nose at the time of the collision.
